Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange for Young Professionals

The Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange scholarship provides the opportunity for a work-study experience in Germany. Recipients win round-trip transportation, intensive language training, four months of professional schooling, and a 5-month internship. Applicants from any career field may apply, and applicants in business, engineering, technical, vocational, and agricultural fields are especially encouraged to apply. Applicants must be U.S. citizens; be between the ages of 18 and 24; have a high school diploma or its equivalent; have clear career goals and related work experience; show strong interest in German and international affairs; be flexible, independent and diplomatic; and possess a strong sense of American identity. Previous knowledge of German is not required, but it is strongly recommended. The application deadline is in mid-December.
